We Signed Droopy
Aka John Lackey,
Now if there is one guy out there who is just ready to rip on the Droopster, it is me....but I am not going to.
Mike Soscia (SP?) Gets credit for being a great Manager, however it has been my observation that there is a fine line between Great Mgr and Micro Mgr,and of late Mike has been more of the latter.
So as that is what Lackey has had to deal with, I will give him a pass on the fact that he has had a tendency to choke in Big Games.

Hey Shankapotomus......Trade.......Jonathan Papelbon.
I am all for the brevity thing - but get rid of this guy he is done... Course it would have been nice if you signed Wagner - but I am sure you know what you are doing.
You do know what you are doing, right? (gagne?) By the way - why did you let Saito go? Well I am sure you know what you are doing.....
Hey am I the only one who is concerned that John Henry is going to be in the next Ameritrade Commercial with that baby. I can see it now - John Henry takes a Skins Beat Down and since his 401K is tanking - he doesn't get any good free agents?
Get Theo as the Baby .... and have him open it up by saying..... John isn't going to pony up for some Free Agents cause his 401K is tanking......

Marco Scutaro - Oh ho Oh
As far as excitement goes this photo sums it up. Ho Hum
I am sure Jed Lowerie is just thirlled.
Myself I liked the idea of Moving Lil Dusty to Short and getting Placido - but the Philles beat us to him.... Nice Theo - nice.

Billy Wagner to the Braves
Courtsey of Over The Monster / Fox News
Ken Rosenthal is reporting that Billy Wagner has reached a preliminary agreement to sign with the Braves.
For Sox fans, this is the end of a fairly lengthy drama involving Elias rankings, arbitration, and draft picks. At first it looked like the Sox would have to agree to forgo arbitration and give up the draft picks to finalize the Wagner trade. Then it looked like Wagner might accept arbitration if it was offered.
Things seem to have worked out well for Boston now, though, as Wagner's signing would secure the Sox the Braves' first round pick (number 20) and a supplementary pick between the first 2 rounds. The first rounder is not a sure thing, as the Sox would have to settle for a second rounder if the Braves signed a higher ranked free agent, but they have yet to be linked to any other, bigger names. Essentially, the Sox bought a few late-season innings of Wagner, and turned Chris Carter and Eddie Lora--two prospects entirely unlikely to contribute to the Sox--into first round picks. Not a bad deal.
The Red Sox have acquired quite a bit of talent thanks to compensatory picks over the last 5 years, including Jacoby Ellsbury, Clay Buchholz, Daniel Bard,Jed Lowrie, Michael Bowden, and Nick Hagadone.

Where Have You Gone Dom DiMagieo...our lonley nation...... turns its eyes,,,,,,
And a Hidie Ho Ho Ho to you.................woo ho who!
You know Simon and Garfunkel totally missed an awesome alteration automation on that one.... ya Think?
Ok I am willing to give Theo.....Boy Wonder.....Wolcott. I mean Epstein.. the benefit of the doubt, but from where I am standing you got nothing, you cockroach......sorry bit of an 80's ish flashback.
Seriously we are doing nothing, and last year this time Dan and the Doodle came up with a list of thigns to do for these guys(aka Theo /Brain Trust) and they went and did basically the exact opposite. So I am faced with the logic that I should either just keep quite.....and believe me THIS Guy....will be voting for that....or -I should tell them they should do the exact opposite of what will succeed in hopes they keep their current form.....Don't want to be too cynical but come on!.
Sign Bay - Or a Better Free Agent Left Fielder......Oh - wait there isn't one.
Get 2 more A+ pitchers. Only one that comes to mind right now is Halladay
Get Handley R back at short - maybe you can include Captain V Tek in that trade....?
And go from there..
Ok they are not listening. So why not - you and I actually do something of value and start a petition to get Dom in the Hall of Fame.... - That is what I am doing ... We are going to get Dom into the Hall of Fame...
Not sure how, but stay tuned cause we are going to do it.
