The Argument Against CC - 1 Year Later.

Well as any regular follow of this blog will know - last year yours truly espoused  that the Red Sox should stay away from CC Sabathia because he basically was horrible come Post Season...the details of which can be found below

Ok so the thing is - if he does good tonight that theory pretty much gets blown out of the water. The fact is the Yankees - limited his use this season to the something of 35 less innings than he has averaged over the past few years. That and until facing the Angels he hasn't had to do much yet this off season - however the fact remains if he does well tonight - then well lets just say there is a reason I do this and am not getting calls from the Houston Astros about their current openings. 

So since I am all about being positive - LETS GO ANGELS, you can do it, it is your time,  don't tell me you guys are going to finally get by the Red Sox just to loose to the New York Ya*kees. This is your year guys - so lets make it happen!!!!!....

Ok off to the Game....... man the Sox really are not playing any more pfffff.

Phil 8 - Manny 6 (Revised)

So I posted this last night- via my blackberry (which is not easy by the way ) and read through it - and thought to myself -"Hey - pretty good content once you get past the 2nd Grade grammar" so if you happen to be getting this again - our apologies.

So unfortunately it has come down to rooting against people as opposed to rooting for people.

That being the case I can not think of a better person to root against than Manny. I am sure "Thunder" will say I am just angry, perhaps - or perhaps its that when asked to think about Manny - or when I see him on TV - the first image that comes to mind isn't one of Gisele  Brady enjoying a lollipop while she strolls down a pristine beach in a bikini. 

It's not that we live to root against Manny as much as when we have the opportunity to root for someone else to beat him.....well as I told some of my Green Friends....if it comes down to a choice between my using my air conditioner -driving a German car that gets 18mph in the city vs. having the polar ice caps melt....well then Surfs Up Biatch. (note in all fairness I stole that line from Dennis Miller - his original quote was - "If it comes down to me in a hotel room - having to use the same towel for my face that i just used on my ass in order to save the enviorment and keep the polar ice caps from melting - well then surf's up!" 

Similarly when faced with the choice to root for Philly vs. a team that has Manny well in that case it is time to Boo Santa Claus ....to tell the truth as I watch Joe Torre it is a bit of an a shame  - love to see him make the WS and stick it to the Ya*kees, but alas there is Manny - and while I can forgive -well with his savantness not sure there is blame - I am not going to forget.

So congrats to the Phillies...and a note on the ManRam.....don't pitch to him......ever.....2 outs, no one on, up by 3 in the 8th ......walk him......never ever pitch to him unless you have to ....cause if you do come to a point in the Series where you have to pitch to him.....better to have him cold than warmed up to you....Memo to Philly send my consulting fee in cash.

Pardon me while I step out of the time machine, but was I the only one talking - er yelling at the television last night to take Josh Beckett out of the Game in the seventh - after not only the first guy reached but the second guy reached What good is an awesome bullpen if you don't use them? Hey yeah we still would have had to actually score again - but please don't give me this Jered Little Lebowski Weaver was so great garbage. (Note - is that Barney Franks Brother Asking Questions)

Anyway - as per last year - and 2007 and 2004 - and dam - every time - it seems - the Sox are down to their last gasp.

Which means we will probably walk off 2 times in a row to force a Game 5 on Tuesday - I hope anyway.

Red Sox vs. Angels Game 2

The Red Sox go at is again tonight in Game 2 against the Angels in an effort to even up their best-of-five series at one apiece.

Its going to be Josh Beckett (17-6, 3.86 ERA) vs. Jered Weaver (16-8, 3.75 ERA). I suppose if I refer to his big brother Jeffery as Jeff Lebowski I guess that Jered is the Little Lebowski.

In the past Beckett has always been the Man - however recent back spasms have Dice K on alert if they flare up once more.

Ideally - the Sox offense will actually score some runs - suppose that would be nice as well.

Well

So that sucked. ....Congrats to the Angles they are now 9-2 in the playoffs against the sox......A h but it doesn't matter. Halos may have scored all their runs in one game.

To tell the truth - there hasn't been shit to blog about since they clinched - and since I am a no shit blogger - I have been laying low - assessing the situation et all which can be heard below.
