Well - why the heck not?

Great article today in the Boston Heralds outlining exactly the reasons why he should.

So as to not rehash that it is simple - I would like nothing more than to see the NL hitters looking like idiots trying to hit the knuckle ball.

As the rotations of the other pitchers go - he will be the most rested and the only other people that would make sense would be Justin Verlander of the Tigers or Zack Greinke of the KC Royals.

OK these guy are both young - both great Arms and would have about as much entertainment value as a Bob Dole Viagra commercial. Plus you know what - Timmy was to 11 wins first, guy is 42 years old and the son of a bitch has earned it. Plus - He Called ShotGun in 1992

Not to mention that Zack Greinke last time I checked was just checked out of the Psych ward last year with SAD (Social Anxiety Disorder) - the guy can't handle pressure situations.

Now (to change the train of though completely) the American League hasn't lost in like 12 years or something like that - and here is where the problem is with that - --- - - - The American League team usually hammers the National League team in the World Series - With the Exception of last year and the 2006 Tigers (Hence another reason not to start Verlander). So as the Ugly Red Sox fan I am no longer happy with just winning the World Series I want to win it in Boston. With the current 2 - 3- 2 format in the World Series - that just isn't going to happen if the Sox have Home Field Advantage - so in a way I kind of want the NL to win. More on that later - later as in when we actually get to August and are not riddled with injuries.
